Demi Moore Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors

From Natalie Kita, About.com GuideSeptember 1, 2009

Follow me on:

Demi MooreIt has recently been reported that Demi Moore has once again publicly denied that she has ever had any plastic surgery. Um, okay.

Now, I'm not a doctor (and I don't even play one on TV). But I do have eyes, and it seems clear to me that, at the very least, Demi Moore has had at least one cosmetic procedure: namely, breast augmentation. Though I am loathe to admit it, I saw Striptease, and I am not embarrassed to admit that I can spot a pair of surgically enhanced breasts a mile away.

Perhaps Ms. Moore meant only to deny having had any anti-aging surgery done to her face. While she has stayed eerily young-looking, I suppose it is possible she has only her ultra-healthy diet and lifestyle (and some great genes) to thank for that. I will also go on record saying that I do not personally believe she has had a face lift. Her face does, however, have a youthful plumpness, firmness, and smoothness to it that belies her blanket denials.

So, if I were to make an educated guess as to her beauty "secret", I would say this: I suspect that her enviable glow may be the result of some very artfully placed dermal fillers, Botox, and possibly non-surgical skin tighteninglaser resurfacing, and/or chemical peels.

The thing that perplexes me is the why. Why do some celebs still insist on denying their cosmetic procedures? It seems to me that the stigma they fear no longer exists.

Stars know there are photographs out there for all to see -- photos which can easily be placed side-by-side to compare their "befores" to their "afters". They know the public is assuming they've had something done. So why not just 'fess up? Maybe it's because if they admit to us that they had cosmetic surgery, they'll have to admit to themselves that they were old enough (or imperfect enough) to need it in the first place?

The final point I would like to add is that whether Demi Moore's gorgeous face is the work of the scalpel, needle, laser, or just good old-fashioned clean living, she looks great. If she has in fact had work done, I'm sure all anyone really wants to know is the name of her surgeon...and whether or not he has any openings, say, next Tuesday.

Her skin is so smooth between the eyes, and her eyes do not “crinkle” when she smiles. Botox

The fillers are harder to spot, but what’s the harm anyway? Wish I had to cash and the fearlessness to visit every three to six months!

She looks great.

Jennyct – I’m with you. I could hate on her for still being gorgeous when she should be showing signs of aging but whats the use. I wish I had the money to make the mirror kinder to me…
