The Royal Wedding has come and gone. However, speculation remains on the issue of Kate Middleton and plastic surgery. Some celebrity watchers are scrutinizing the new princess for signs of plastic surgery. Supposedly she's on a quest for a body fit for a queen!
Some have decided that she's undergone a possible rhinoplasty (nose job), blepharoplasty (specifically removal of lower eyelid bags), and breast augmentation. What's the evidence supporting their claims? A comparison of past and current pictures of the new Duchess of Cambridge.
Here's my take. Unless an obvious change has occurred, such as the rhinoplasty changes of Ashlee Simpson and Ashley Tisdale, it can be difficult to state with certainty if an individual has had plastic surgery.
Another thing to take into consideration is that Kate has been in the public eye for nearly all of her twenties. While the face still maintains the look of youth during the third decade of life, maturing changes still occur. Especially if there has been a fluctuation in weight, which is the case with Kate. Kate has slimmed down since significantly since her early twenties. Loss of "baby fat" or the "freshman fifteen" can dramatically change the shape of a woman's face. The same thing happened to me!
How come she has more prominent lower eyelids in an earlier picture that are not present in a later picture? It's called normal fluctuation. Lack of sleep, stress, diet, weight fluctuations, make-up, lighting, squinting, etc. can affect the appearance of the eye area. If you truly compare more current pictures to the earlier pictures where her lower eyelids are supposedly more prominent, you'll see that she still has that particular characteristic. Perhaps she was stressed or it was just a case of bad lighting in the earlier photos.
What about her nose some ask? The characteristics of her nose look unchanged to me. Certain camera views can make facial features appear larger, smaller, etc. It's a known trick in the entertainment and fashion industry. In addition, make-up, changes in facial shape due to weight loss, and numerous other factors can affect how a nose looks in pictures.
As for breast augmentation...come on! Did these celebrity watchers see her in that wedding dress with that neckline? Indeed, Kate followed the wedding custom of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Trust me when I say the "something new" was not a pair of breast implants. The new Duchess of Cambridge is 100 percent au naturel in the cleavage department.
So for those celebrity watchers looking to find some fault in Princess Diana's new daughter-in-law, they are going to have to keep looking!
