The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) has come out with the 2011 statistics for plastic surgery. Overall, cosmetic surgical procedures increased by 1% since 2010. The most common procedure was liposuction. The top five surgical procedures in 2011 were:
  1. Liposuction
  2. Breast Augmentation (silicone gel implants used more than saline implants!)
  3. Abdominoplasty, aka tummy tuck
  4. Blepharoplasty, aka eyelid surgery
  5. Mastopexy, aka breast lift

I am suprised that the number one was not the full face lift. In today’s highly competive world for important positions:Show Business, STEM, or corporate management, a person cannot look old or tired. It is not just the hiring issue, but the peer group pressure and competiveness once a person is hired.
