Millicent Odunze Geers, MD, MPH, is a former writer for Verywell Health covering plastic surgery. Education

Dr. Geers earned her bachelor's degree with honors from Harvard University. She then graduated from Duke University School of Medicine. While attending medical school, she simultaneously earned a master's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, ranked one of the best Public Health programs in the nation. After medical school, Dr. Geers completed a residency in plastic surgery at one of the premier plastic surgery training programs in the country, Northwestern University. After her residency, she refined her plastic surgery knowledge with a one-year advanced aesthetic plastic surgery fellowship in Beverly Hills.
