In the world of cosmetic surgery, both patient and surgeon have the best chance of getting it right the first time. However, things don't always go as planned. Sometimes the first surgery hasn't been done correctly. More often, though, the undesirable cosmetic issues are caused by nature, whether via the occurence of capsular contracture, or due to normal breast changes related to pregnancy, age, or weight gain or loss.
When this happens, some patients may elect to undergo a secondary surgical procedure to correct or improve the appearance and feel of their augmented breasts. This is referred to as breast augmentation revision surgery.
