Definition: A painless skin condition formed by the dilation of a group of small blood vessels and characterized by a central and elevated red dot, about the size of a pinhead, from which small blood vessels radiate (looking like a spider); often associated with high estrogen levels that occur in pregnancy; also known as spider angiomas; plural is "spider nevi."
Alternate Spellings: spider naevus, plural is spider nevi
